Formula 55 is a blend of specialized microbes used to reduce foaming and improve sludge density and settling.  The product is particularly effective in wastewater treatment systems that receive high levels of cellulose fibers, fats and greases.   The bacteria selected for Formula 55 have a higher kinetic rate than most indigenous bacterial populations.  These bacteria convert a higher percentage of the available BOD in to energy and carbon dioxide than protein matter resulting in reduced sludge production.  Regular use of Formula 55 will increase overall plant efficiency, reduce sludge production and often increase plant capacity.

SPECIFICATIONS

Product may be added directly to aeration tank, lagoon, or oxidation ditch. For trickling filters, it is best to pre-hydrate product by adding 2 lbs. per 1 gallon of 20-30º C non-chlorinated water. Allow solution to stand for 30 minutes to 2 hours before adding to trickling filter.

Product is dosed as a function of MLSS.  Please consult your sales representative for detailed application rates.

Do not use in environments where high levels of toxic metals such as zinc, chrome, mercury, are known to exist.
